The sun set today at 4:37pm. Daylight Savings is over. There is a benefit; it starts to get light again at 7 in the morning, which is a good thing for this early rising family. But the dark moving in again at 4:30? Oh, this I do not care for!
The other day, I was walking to school to pick up the girls. The sun was shining through the dark clouds. I shuffled my feet through a golden carpet of leaves.
It was a bright moment in a rather dreary week.

What a pretty sea of maple leaves, it reminds me of my yard which badly needs to be raked and burned but will have to wait until my chest heals a lot more from the bilateral mastectomy.
By the way, I love your blog! I love the look of it too, so welcoming and cheery!
Beautiful photo! Do you just walk around constantly thinking, “What would make a great photo for my blog?” (Note to self: do the same.) 🙂
I really love the picture! It’s gorgeous!
Gorgeous, I love yellow!
Those are gorgeous. I’m so glad I read this because I have a photo shoot in an hour and I love getting inspiration because they want that whole golden leaves thing.
The early darkness is very hard for me. I think I cope better with it since I’ve had children because we all cuddle up in an exhausted heap together at the end of every day, and it keeps my heart warm and light.
I hate how it is getting dark earlier, but then I got to see a beautiful sunset when I was driving home from work the other day. I guess it was my bright spot for the day.
Amazing picture!
