Ribbit, Ribbit; Translation: Conversations Outside the Preschool Door

I’m going out on a limb. I’ve started my own community at the Blog Frog. See my fancy little widget over on the left? You can join my community with only an email address, a password, and a first name! You don’t even need to have a blog! How about that?

We can talk about anything you like. Participate in a discussion I’ve started, or start your own discussion! Do you have a question about my experience with breast cancer? Ask away! Did you start a conversation with another mom outside the preschool door which you never got to finish? Let’s keep discussing it here!

You can also visit other people’s communities. One of the most popular communities is MckMama’s; she blogs at My Charming Kids. This weekend I participated in an interesting discussion about bra colors on Facebook, which was meant to promote breast cancer awareness.

I’ll admit, I’m a little nervous. It’s like sending out invitations to a party and wondering if anyone will come!

My first question is about books. My friend is obsessed with the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, and I was wondering if you have read these books. What did you think? I just started reading the first book, and so far I’m really enjoying it.

If you’ve never heard of Outlander, do you have a book that you’ve become obsessed with? I’m always ready to pick up a new book obsession! Visit my community by clicking on my widgety thing to join the conversation, or leave a comment here!

  1. I read the first OUtlander series and I loved it.. I have yet to read the others! Other books keep pushing their way in!

  2. I've seen this (blogfrog) on several blogs. I signed up to join you. I have not read Outlander. I don't read often enough but I do buy books all the time.

  3. This is so cool! I didn't even know someone could DO this! Count me in! I've read 3 of the OUtlander books-I loves the first 3, but had a hard time as more and more horrible stuff happened to Claire (I think her name was Claire?!) and Jamie. I'ma gonna head on over to your community now! ~A

  4. i haven't read the Outlander books – perhaps it will go on my reading list for 2010. i just finished an isabel allende book and i am obsessed with her.

  5. I know I wouldn't keep up with Blog Frog. I'm actually thinking of quitting both Twitter and Facebook. Not enough time to keep up!And I haven't read "Outlander" myself but everyone review I've seen of it is positive. It is a time commitment though!
