This week on the Tuesday Ten, Lisa from The Golden Spoons and Rabia from The Liebers want us to tell you 10 things we would find in our cars if we cleaned them!
10. Water bottles: We have a lot of reuseable water bottles and somehow they all end up in the car–empty. So when we are actually driving in the car and are thirsty, we have many water bottles yet no water to drink. Kinda reminds me of the phrase, “Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink!”
9. Maps of Midwestern states: we love a good road trip! When we stop at a rest area, we always grab a map of that state. Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan….
8. The latest Walmart Atlas: We love it! I think we are behind though; we have the 2013 edition right now.
7. Candy wrappers: I cannot get those kids to stop throwing wrappers on the floor!
6. Windshield sunshade: It has been several months since I pulled it out, but in the summer months a sunshade is a must have!
5. Crayons: Kids strike again!
4. Dance bags with dance shoes: The girls like to keep their dance shoes in the car so that they don’t forget them on dance day.
3. Rocks from the Upper Peninsula: We drove up to Michigan with my in-laws for a vacation, and my father-in-law picked up some rocks he thought were interesting. He put them in the far back cup holder…and they’ve been there since 2009.
2. Cell Phone charger: a vital piece of equipment, since the outlet charger quit working on me.
1. Empty CD cases: CDs currently in the CD player right now are: Taylor Swift Red (the girls’), The Wailin’ Jennys Firecracker (mine) and of course, the Frozen soundtrack. (Isn’t this in everyone’s car right now?)
What music is playing in your car these days?
The girls stopped taking dance this year (to try soccer), but their dance bags are still in the back of the car. So, yes can totally relate to that and so much more on your list 🙂

I don’t have dance bags in my car, but I do have just about everything else on your list in my car … and I don’t have kids. LOL Guess my car just really needed a good Spring clean-out (which I did to write this week’s Tues. Ten) – so killed two birds with one stone. 😀

Water bottles are what I have in my car too! And, like you, usually they are empty.

Tons of CDs; no CD player!! Argh! We’ll get it fixed eventually, but it’s not high on the priority list right now!

I basically have a lot of trash and old toys in my car. I plan on cleaning it up at some point.

Love it…. i usually have a barn and track field in the back of mine but I just got a new car. So I know all about the dance shoes staying so we don’t forget. I will put the barn and track stuff back tomorrow, one more day of new!!!!

I love that the rocks have been there so long! When we traded for the van we have now, I had to clean out the old one. I found so much stuff that I know had been there for years!
I love that the rocks have been in the cup holder since 2009! My car (which badly needs a cleaning) has pop cans, junk mail, gloves, a snow brush and some garbage. The music in my car these days is just the radio. It’s almost time to pull out the iPod for rides further than work!

It’s that new Lorde song – “Team,” I believe? Scarlet loves it. So do I!

So fun to see what’s in everyone’s car. I try to keep my car fairly free of stuff, but I have the basics, just in case. Phone charger, napkins, Germ-X, ice scraper, etc.

I had to laugh, I was not the easy mom with my children growing up. I was a perfectionist when it came to my car (and other things like play dough could only be used in the garage) and we didn’t eat or drink in it! Funny how we do things that seem so ridicules now me now. Now I say “let them eat cake!”

We also have lots of water bottles. There should be a drive-thru water bottle recycle bin. We also have lots of dried mud and salt from the winter weather.
