The wind is howling fiercely outside, I have a miserable cold and we have no school today and tomorrow because of this stupid polar vortex. The only good thing about that sentence is the word “vortex.” Vortex is a fun word to say.
One definition of vortex is “any activity, situation, or way of life regarded as irresistibly engulfing.”
Have you ever been caught up in a “vortex?” Is there a “vortex” you would like to be caught up in?
Join Gretchen and me for The Spin Cycle; write your Spin on the word vortex and link it up any day this week!
Gretchen and I will share our Vortex stories with you on Friday. In the meantime, I’m going to go lie on the couch with my box of tissues and watch the snow plows go by.
