Your Spin Cycle Prompt {week of 1/20}

It’s award season in Hollywood! Did you watch the People’s Choice Awards, or the Golden Globes? The Oscars and Grammys are coming up as well, along with other awards I’ve never heard of. (My co-host Gretchen lives in Los Angeles, so she knows all about the awards!)

Gretchen and I think it should be Awards Week here on The Spin Cycle!

Did your husband remember to take out the trash without a reminder? Give him an award!

Are your kids whizzes at getting their homework done before dinner? Give them an award!

Does a fellow blogger inspire you daily? Give her an award!

Write your award post any day this week and link up either here or on Gretchen’s blog. Be sure to visit your fellow Spinners!

Your Spin Cycle Prompt {Week of 1/13}

In the movie Dead Poets Society, Robin Williams’ character tells the boys in his English class, “We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion.” Gretchen and I certainly saw your passion in your poetry Spins last week! Here are five of the acrostic poems you wrote:

I really enjoyed reading everyone’s poems. They were all inspiring!  And so this week, we are going to take a spin with your inspiring words! Gretchen and I want you to pick a word from someone else’s poem, and write: What does that word mean to you?
