This past weekend in the U.S., we celebrated Independence Day. You know, the day we declared that the colonies were independent from England. And then we started a war to prove it.

Independence can be a hard thing to earn. Toddlers try their best to become independent by using their favorite word, “NO!” My own girls want more independence and have ridden their bikes to the park without me a couple of times. I remember loving (and hating) that feeling of independence when I went off to college.

Did you miss me yesterday?

After last week’s hectic yet wonderful Vacation Bible School mornings, I was decidedly lazy yesterday! But The Spin Cycle is still on for this week!

For the past couple of Sundays, our pastor has been encouraging us to list 3 blessings every day. Ed and Lily have been writing them down religiously 😉 . I, however, have not! What better place to write about my blessings than on my blog AND to use it as a Spin Cycle Prompt?
