With the time change this weekend, many of us had an “extra” hour to accomplish something. What did I do with my hour?
I slept right through it!
But what if we had a couple of extra hours every day? What if I had 26 hours a day to accomplish more?
- A couple of years ago, I started making a quilt through an online Block of the Month class. I’m so close to being done! If I had more hours in the day, I would finish my quilt so that I could snuggle up underneath it while napping on the couch.
- Read all the books on my book list! My to-read list at Goodreads keeps growing longer and longer…. Most of all, I want to read all the stories in my new anthology that was just released yesterday: Clash of the Couples! I’ve only had time to read a couple of stories, and they are hilarious!
- Write more. I’d love to submit more stories to other anthologies, and maybe (gulp) write my own book.
- Do my nails. I like having nice nails, but rarely have time to give myself a manicure. Last Thursday, Ed gave me a little time to put on my new Jamberries! It was nice to lock myself in the bathroom for 30 minutes.
- Snack more…let’s face it, I’ll get hungrier with 26 hours in a day.
- And so, I’ll need to work out more. My new gym is open 24 hours a day, so that will be convenient!
- Create more art and take more art classes.
- Fix up my laundry room. It is in the basement, and it is not a pleasant place to be…yet I do so much laundry! I really want a nice laundry room. I’d also love to paint the master bathroom. It desperately needs a new coat of paint!
- Go on more dates with Ed! We are also desperately in need of some time together.
- Talk to my sisters and brother more! As the big sister, I don’t always do a good job of picking up the phone and calling my siblings. They could all probably use a couple more hours in the day, too!
Truthfully, I’d probably run out of time just like I do now with 24 hours in a day. Lisa and Rabia gave us this prompt for Tuesday Ten, so pop on over and see what they would do with two extra hours a day!

What would you do with more hours a day?
Reading and writing made my list too! Maybe with extra time every day I’d finally get my basement cleaned up!!

Cleaning my basement would be HUGE! I need to tackle it one of the these days.
That first one, I wish I could take the big blanket here and snuggle with it, too, but the kids are off for Election Day and so not happening. I would settle to do my nails though 😉

I thought of you when I posted the picture of my nails! Yours always look so nice. 🙂
I love the list! I would have more exercise time with those two extra hours!

Exercising has really been making me feel better about myself! I’m glad I’m taking the time to do it without those extra hours. 🙂
I think my 2 hours would vary from day to day – some days it would be for sleeping, some days it would be for errands, some days it would be to just sit and enjoy things around me – I would love the extra time though!!!

Wouldn’t some extra time be nice? I really like the idea of getting some extra sleep. 🙂
These are all great things to do. I struggle with sometimes having too much time on my hands and sometimes too little, so I don’t think a 26-hour day would suit me.

Great list! I did not know you were so artistic! That drawing is fantastic and the quilt pieces are beautiful!

WOW regardless of getting more hours, you should most definitely draw more!! That drawing of the baby is incredible!!

Aw, thanks Kristi! I should get out my sketch book. I used to draw all the time, but haven’t drawn anything in years!
I think 3, 9 and 10 do it for me!
And every day I have it on my to do list to research anthologies that need submissions, but I keep missing deadlines!

I just missed a deadline last week. I hate it when that happens! (It happens all the time….)
Your Jamberries look great! So does your drawing!

Thanks! I’m loving my Jamberries! Did you get yours yet?
That is a stunning quilt.
If I had an extra hour I would think about cleaning out the closets, cleaning up the basement, and cleaning out the fridge. And then I would go read a book instead.

Ha, I love reading! I just started a new one that’s calling my name when I really need to be washing the dishes.
