Your Spin Cycle Prompt {week of 5/26}

Today we observe Memorial Day, formerly known as Decoration Day. Decoration Day was originally founded to commemorate the Union and Confederate soldiers who died during the Civil War. Now, on Memorial Day, which is officially on May 30, we remember all Americans who died during war. Gretchen and I thought it would be a good week to write about Patriotism. What does Patriotism mean to you?

Write about Patriotism any day this week, and then come back on Friday, May 30, to read Gretchen and my thoughts on Patriotism.

Your Spin Cycle Prompt {week of 5/19}

May is the month of graduations! On Wednesday evening, I’ll witness 17 of my little students graduate from preschool. They are ready for Kindergarten! Photos of high school and college graduates are scattered across my Facebook news feed.

There are other ways to graduate. I’ve graduated from using a recipe every night to winging it. I have to admit, my Mexican Tortilla Casserole is different every time, but it always seems to be yummy! I also have a famous chicken and tomato dish that I throw together. Lily likes that meal.

Our prompt for this week’s Spin Cycle is graduate. Do you want to write about a traditional graduation or a non-traditional graduation? What have you graduated from lately?

Write a Spin and link it up any day this week! (Grab the code in the text box under the button to add it to your Spin.)
