meme's the word, theme songs

Sometimes a great idea for a meme is born, but it doesn’t quite make it. A while back, another blogger had what I thought was a great idea for a meme…Theme Song Thursdays! So I went on a search for my favorite theme songs from shows I watched as a kid. The meme never got off the ground, so I never posted those songs.

One of the earliest shows I remember watching was this one. I might have been watching reruns, though, because this show ended in 1975, when I was only 6 years old! Here is the theme song for Adam-12:

What were some of your favorite TV shows as a kid? Don’t forget…link up your favorite meme posts below!

A Day With Two
Today I’m featuring a new meme from LT at A Day With Two. LT was kind enough to participate in my first blogger interview! I just love her answers; here’s what she had to say!

1. Why do you love quotes so much, and what made you start “A Day for Quotes?”

Well Ginny, you really started this off with a loaded question for me! The reason I love quotes so much is because of my Dad. My Dad loved quotes, I wish I had pictures of every place my Dad had them….He had a box full of them, he had them in his workshop in the basement and in his garage. They were stuck on random pieces of paper under any available surface and anywhere a magnet would hold them! So I guess I grew up loving quotes, I mean not that I have the same box like Dad or anything (o.k. so I do….).

I started A Day for Quotes because when I was a brand new blogger I linked up with a Meme that was all about quotes. After this blogger stopped the Meme I found I missed it so much I just had to start my own!

2. Where do you find such wonderful quotes?

I would say that 90% of my quotes come from Daily Celebrations. It is a great quote website that I think I found just from Googling quotes! Most of my others come from BrainyQuote. They even have a widget that I grabbed for my blog that gives readers (and me!) a new quote every day!

3. What is one of your all-time favorite quotes?

Wow, this is such a tough one, because I have a ton of quotes that I just love! I think that if I had to pick one (or two) (or 4! Sorry, I warned you this would be a tough one!) they would be:

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” ~Maya Angelou.

For some reason I just keep coming back to this one again and again! I think I have used it in a blog post like 4 or 5 times now!!

“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove. But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.” ~Forest Witcraft

Any parent can understand why I love this one!

“i carry your heart with me (i carry it in / my heart) i am never without it” ~e.e. cummings

Whenever I read this quote I always get a picture of my husband in my head. He is my heart and soul, you know.

“We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.” ~Unknown

This one pretty much sums up our life

4. Do you have a favorite person that you quote often?

After my Father, Maya Angelou for sure! She is such a wise woman!

5. Tell us the details: when and where can we link up our own posts with quotes?

I would love for any quote lovers to link up to my blog any Sunday at http://adaywithtwo.blogspot.com/
I love spreading comment love your way, and I even have a button you can grab for your post if you want to!
