Why do I feel like bursting into song as I’m writing about my favorite things? I certainly like raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, but they are not necessarily my favorite things.
These are a few of MY favorite things, written in no apparent order.
- Dinner ready to go at 5:30 because I put it in the crock pot in the morning
- An empty dishwasher at the end of dinner time, clean and ready for those dirty dinner dishes
- A comfortable couch with a fuzzy, warm blanket
- A hot cup of tea
- A good book
- Short and sweet blog posts (Just the opposite of the post I wrote on Tuesday.)
- Open-mouthed, slobbery baby kisses
- Puppies that just come to visit
- Shiny red orchard apples
- Bedtime
- Alone time
- Getting up early and being alone
- Black coffee
- Soft, fuzzy slippers
- Looking at art
- Listening to music
- Clean and crisp sheets
- A drawer full of clean underwear and socks
- An unexpected snow day
- The crackle of a fire in the fireplace
- A glass with ice and Coke
- Pepperoni and onion pizza
- Vanilla ice cream
- Listening to birds sing outside my window
- Hiking in the woods
- Walking on the beach
- Seeing wildlife
- Being with my family and friends

How I love your list from that first one of dinner all taken care of in my crockpot right down to the last one of being with my family and friends, too 😉

Nothing makes me happier than knowing that dinner is cooked first thing in the morning thanks to my crock pot!!!
Great list. I would have a lot of those items on my list too. I especially like dinner ready at 5:30 and a clean dishwasher to put dishes in after dinner. It drives me crazy to ope the dishwasher, find it’s full and dirty!
I get the distinct feeling that most things on your list are best done on your own! Love the list though, I could have a lot of them on my list as well.
I am a very big fan of black coffee, pepperoni and onion pizza, and vanilla ice cream too!

I think crockpot dinners are pretty darn special. I have so many favorite things and I can share a few – hot soup on a cold night, rainbow fuzzy socks, seeing moose on a New England road (from a safe distance from the car)… chocolate bars stashed into my drawer, kids who want to hug for an entire hour.
We enjoy a lot of the same things. I’m with you on pretty much everything except the black coffee. I like mine cappucino-style. And in Rome. 😉

This really made me smile. I am soo down with the crockpot and the empty dishwasher! And the birds are just starting to tune up out here in the country and let us know spring is arriving, which I adore. 🙂
