It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Or is it?
I just love so many things about the holidays. Christmas comes at a dark and cold part of the year for us in the Midwest, and gives us a little bit of sparkle just when we need it.
However, sometimes it can also be a difficult time of the year. One of my friends just lost her mom a few weeks ago, and she admitted that although her mom’s health had been failing for a number of years, this Christmas is going to be harder than she realized.

Will small children it really is a wonderful time of the year in more ways then one, but still I do miss those that have gone before us, like my grandparents and definitely makes the holiday bittersweet to me. Great prompt and definitely can have many differing answers depending upon who you ask for sure.
Yes, I do miss my grandparents and my mom most of all during Christmas. Fortunately I have wonderful memories of them.
It is a wonderful time of year for us too, because as you said, it’s a sparkle in the cold and dark of a northeast winter. I do agree that there are a lot of losses around Christmas time. I can remember many years in which we lost someone to natural causes or cancer or car accidents around this time of year. That can be very tough.
My favorite time of year is spring/summer. I can’t help it.
Oh, spring is pretty wonderful! I get so tired of the leafless trees and cold weather.

I agree with you. I live away from home, I don’t have my grandmother but grandfather. He is a lovely person and always miss me. I do too.

Its really hard to forgot grandmother and grandpa. I am really missing both of them. They were really inspiration for us .
