Finally, the day you’ve all been waiting for! It’s Awards Day!
First of all, my book club deserves a special award. Because of the Booktique, I’ve met some wonderful women that I would not have met otherwise and read some great books that I would not have read otherwise. The grapefruit beer I drank last night while discussing books also deserves an award. It was very citrus-y!
For deciding to stay at home last night instead of going to a work-related, my husband Ed gets an award. He may not wash the pots and pans after dinner, but he is very supportive in all that I do; from book club to blogging to teaching preschool. Thanks, honey!
To my two little girls, who are the sweetest little girls around, I give an award for just being themselves. They are going to grow up really fast (everyone keeps telling me this!) and I already can’t believe that Lily is 9 and Emmy is 6! They make me laugh and do their homework. What else could I ask for? (Besides clean rooms, I mean.)
I also think that two of newer readers deserve an award; Tamara from Tamara (like) Camera and Janine from Janine’s Confessions of a Mommyoholic have become two faithful commenters ever since we connected last summer! Thank you, girls!
Two of my long time readers, Debby and Mara, also deserve awards! Debby introduced me to Mara, and we have been reading each other’s blogs forever! It’s nice to have such good online friends.
Finally, Gretchen definitely deserves a slice of pie for keeping The Spin Cycle spinning! I’m honored to be her Spin Cycle partner. It’s my favorite meme in the whole blogosphere!
